FRESH AGAINŽ Deodorant Sprays
We use the most effective method of odor control -- elimination of odors at their source.
FRESH AGAIN converts odor-producing gaseous molecules into a solid. No gas -- no odor!
Our sense of smell
In the presence of a strong odor, our sense of smell fatigues and we lose our ability to respond to odor
molecules -- odors are no longer detected. Fatigue occurs in as short a time as two to three minutes. This is the reason why
those of us who work around objectionable odors do not seem to notice them. For example, veterinary hospital workers are often
not bothered by odors frequently present. Visitors, however, are acutely -- and negatively -- aware of these same odors.
Odor control methods
The most commonly used methods of odor control are:
- Temporary destruction of the ability to smell using a strong chemical, such as formaldehyde, which inactivates the specialized membranes in our nose (olfactory epithelium) which detect odors. This process is called desensitization of the sense of smell.
- Temporary overwhelming of the sense of smell with a very strong, often sweet, odor so the objectionable odor is no longer detected. This process is called masking. Most masking agents are often more offensive than the original "bad" odor.
- Enzyme action to break down or "digest" large odor-causing molecules. This method works slowly even under optimal conditions.
The most effective method -- FRESH AGAIN
FRESH AGAIN converts gaseous odor molecules into a solid, a much more complicated process than the desensitizing, physical masking or digesting of offensive odors. The result of this gas-to-solid conversion is also more desirable: no offensive odor whatsoever -- instantly!
